Topic : Waiting for people
Stage 1 of Observation Gathered.
Firstly, the places where people often wait at.
The first most common place we found is at the MRT stations.
Mrt stations also know as the interchange is the most commonly place we felt that most people will usually meet their friends at before they start their plans of the day.
The next common waiting location will be at cafes and shopping centres
People often choose to wait at these locations where they can do their shoppings or even have a cup of coffee at the cafe while waiting for friends. This will keep them away of tracking the waiting time.
The next waiting location will be at bus-stops or road side.
People who are waiting at such locations because they are most likely waiting for friends to knock off after work. Therefore they choose such location which is nearby at working places and perhaps gave them a pleasant surprise.
Besides that there are also people waiting for trains and buses, usually these time are quite short and they are doing find with such reasonable waiting time.
However there are also people waiting for their queues, these waiting times varies as the people waiting in-line for restaurants seats, supermarket, promotion food or items.
What do people do while waiting?
1. PHONE. the most common item in hand while waiting.
Most people will keep their hands on their phones, which they could find another form of entertainment to keep them engage while waiting. They would usually start messaging with friends to talk with, playing games on their phones, reading the news, listen to some music.
2. Impromptu Actions
People will start their random browsing and shopping at shops while waiting. Some will even find some quick bites to munch on. Such actions will therefore keep them engage into some form of walking around and keeping their eyes busy on window shoppings.
3. Standing still
These people will usually stand on the spot with not much movement around just keeping their eyes on those things around them, and perhaps some will start staring into daze . Such lethargic actions could be that the person feeling quite pissed with the waiting time.
