Trip to NTUC Xtra @ AMK hub 30/10/09
My Observations.
The shoppers usually are mainly adults. From the age of 30 – 60 mostly.
They usually have something in mind and when they step into the NTUC.
They will start going to the following section they wish to purchase.
Seldom people will come with shopping list.
Seldom people will bring their own shopping bag or trolleys.
As they are more dependent on the NTUC itself.
People will notice the price of the products and also comparing them with others products.
They like to reach to the back of shelf to take the new product.
They will tend to shake or feel the inside of product to see if the condition is still good.
They like to look out for promotions and also free sample which will interest their attention.
They make purchases at the counter.

1. How do you find this site? (in 3 words)
Amateur, dull, uninteresting
2. Who do you think the site is created for?
The site is created for those for are interested in their clothings and products, wishes to check out their latest clothing and perhaps, the different design and color of the products which they are interested. They can also need to check out the different outlet located in different locations. For those mostly girls and some boys, and lady from age 10-60.
3.What are the good attributes of the site (in terms of usability, aesthetic issues, etc)?
Theres’s clear nagivation on those buttons where to check out those infromation. Theres also a clear layout on the header, sub header and the contents. The information given are clear and useful to the users, there’s also a distinctive main attractions and highlights on the first index page. The page did group them according to their header links, instead of using a long-scrolling page
4. What are the bad attributes of the site?
Bad typography given to the page in grouping those contents and header.Gestalt is not applied in the layout, not enough distinctive spaces between headers, highlights and content(sub-header and body text). The similarity in the page, all the words seems the same, no distinctive appearance for those buttons and clickable links. The page is also lack of also some interesting groupings in the layout, and the shop opening and closing time which is helpful and important. Besides they does not provide the updates of the clothings, this is also important so users can check out the design of products and interest them going down the shop to purchase.Lastly, the overall feel and design does not really shows thats is a clothing apparel, plain background and should emphasis more on their highlights and clothings.
